1829 STONE HOUSE
ARCHITECTURALLY UNIQUE 1829 Stone House in a quiet rural
district on East Branch AuSable River with meadow,
river and mountain views. Attractively landscaped with
maple trees, stone walls and enclosed formal garden (50
x 75 feet). One quarter mile frontage on the AuSable River. Meadows, river flats and pine forest on 42 acres.
The house has been thoroughly restored to
original appearance. Two chimneys and two fireplaces.
Ten rooms plus full attic and basement. All rooms
well-lit with original door and window trim.
Cut granite and rubble construction probably by local
masons working in primitive setting. Unique false block
grouting with light sand mortar and dark cinder mortar
to improve appearance. (Note more even blocks on
neighboring house, built only one year later.)

Whether you're an experienced webmaster or just a novice surfer, you may have feedback or suggestions to help us improve. We well remember the visitor a year or so ago who complained about the unpleasant glare from the HTML default royal blue links. That lead us to entirely revamp our background and link colors, making them softer, more eye pleasing. And the Florida expert who warned us about frustrating visitors with blind links. We followed his advice and now carefully identify each link so visitors know before they "click" exactly where they're clicking to.
Your comments or suggestions will be equally appreciated.
