Subject: Photo's from our stay - Sorry we missed you Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2001 19:47:04 EDT From: G******@aol.com To: visitus@4peaks.com Dear Martin & Louise, A short e-mail to tell you how much we enjoyed 4peaks -all that your website promised and more but we were terribly disappointed not to have met you. We had quite a few questions to ask. Murray was great about getting us settled in but we really had thought we'd get a chance to chat with you. Deb and I would like to come up again and we would love to rent Sugar Cabin. We took a hike over and were very pleased but saddened that we couldn't stay there as planned. Enclosed are some of our favorite photo's. We hope you had a good vacation, we wish you happy holidays and we hope to hear from you in the near future. Sincerely, Michelle & Deborah ps/ sending you a jpeg file named Unique Piece - contains the photo's Subject: Snow and mud conditions make it immpossible for us . . . New Barn is available (for the same rate as Sugar Camp). The ground conditions would not affect your general enjoyment. The season is beautiful. There is a fireplace at New Barn and lots of firewood. You may need snowshoes on the trails. See http://4peaks.com/fawyello.htm for snowshoe rentals. Let me know if you'll change to New Barn or will cancel and reschedule. In that case I'll make a full refund immediately. Thanks. I hope to hear from soon as Louise and I are planning a week away beginning Tuesday and I need to instruct my son and a helper who will be looking after the place while we're gone. Best wishes, Martin Subject: Re: Photo's from our stay - Sorry we missed you Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2001 08:11:27 -0400 From: MartinAndLouise Reply-To: VisitUs@4peaks.com Organization: Fourpeaks--Adirondack Backcountry Camps To: G*******@aol.com Dear Michelle and Deborah-- Thanks for your email and the wonderful photos you took while you were here. We're sorry that we didn't get to meet you. When our daughter's plans for a Graduation Vacation with her friends didn't pan out we had to change our own plans (which were for the end of the month) so we could be with her. You seem to have gotten around the trails with your snowshoes all right. Where did you take the brook photo (RushingSpring)? Was it at Sugar Camp? I see wrapped gifts in one of the photos (beautiful!). Was this a special occasion? Please come back! Sugar Camp flowers are beautiful in the early Spring! Best wishes. Thanks again for the photos. Martin and Louise Subject: Re: Photo's from our stay - Sorry we missed you Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2001 23:42:47 EDT From: G*****@aol.com To: VisitUs@4peaks.com Dear Martin & Louise,
Good to hear from you -glad your trip turned out well. The photo(beautiful!) was sent by accident -that's my niece opening a birthday present at our Passover sedar. The rushing brook is the one on the road coming back to New Barn from Sugar Camp. Yes, our snowshoes made it quite convenient to walk around. We went up the trail into the woods and picked up a trail there that lead us to one of the notch's (not sure which one -didn't get a grasp on all the names). We met an elderly gentleman walking his dog on the road and he gave us some information. Maybe when we come up again, you'll be able to fill us in better. Very much looking forward to hearing from you in the near future. Sincerely, Michelle & Deb
