Subject: Martin, we got your message

    From: "Kim" <***@******.net>
[NOTE: While they were here, Kim and Dan rescued a dog that fell off the north face of Ebenezer. Guests hiking there had neglected to keep their dog in view and under control. Kim and Dan found the hurt dog in very rough terrain and carried it out over a mile and a half in a makeshift sling. The dog was taken to the veterinary hospital. The injuries were to the nervous system. The dog was destroyed. ]
Martin hope all is well. We received your message and have not had the
chance to call you back. We are very sorry to hear about ember, we were
quite puzzled when the guests told us that the dog was fine after their trip
to the vet. Do you know what the injuries were that required her to be put
down? The blanket was loaded into the back of Hilary and Roys car with the
dog, they had to use it to carry the dog into the vets office. Hope to hear
from you soon. Kim and Dan

Martin, I wanted to send you a separate email, telling you we again had a
wonderful time. It's nice to bring the kids now and then, but we also
enjoyed our visit with you and the relaxation of time alone. We have been
up frequently in the past month to do alot of hiking, were trying to prepare
for October. This time we decided just to have a chill weekend with no
plan, and we enjoyed that equally. We are hoping to come before October,
but we want to at least get the fall chores done (e.g. wood in - so we have
heat this winter) before we leave October 4th. I will be hearing from
shelly some time this week about her dates and will email you as soon as I
do. Hopefully we will see you well before October, I will keep you up to
date as our plan unfolds. Thank you again for everything, and if you need
anything, please call or email us, would give us an excuse to come. Talk to
    you soon. Kim

Subject: Its dan and Kim again.

[NOTE: I had asked Kim and Dan, experienced wilderness visitors, to help me figure out ways to improve the quality of my backcountry camp bookings and avoid renting to people who are not well suited to living in the backcountry--like the people who lost their dog off the sheer rock face of Ebenezer Mountain. One of methods we talked about was a Backcountry Questionnaire. ]
I did'nt get the questionaire, to know if we are compatible with 4 peaks
please forward. (or dan and I were thinking about this on the way home -
maybe not a questionaire, but what would you do in this situation quiz).
People would either no the answer or have to research prior. This would
point out people that really have an interest or willingness for safety and
enviromental rationals Your could even post this on the web page in puzzle
and game form that would be submitted prior to them complete their
reservation process. Depending on their score, interest, and willingness
may deter, or filter your problem children (per your discretion). Hope
George is doing well. Talk to you soon. Dan and Kim.
