    Hello Martin,
I have been wanting to say a formal thank you for our stay at Four Peaks. I remember the first year we stayed at Fourpeaks we didn't know exactly what to expect. I was looking for somewhere to take my youngest son Mike for a week or so. We had had a lot going on in our life the year before. including his mom and I divorcing and my Father battling for a year and loosing to lung cancer. Mike and I needed a place to reconnect. I searched the Internet to find somewhere to get away from crowds and quite honestly people. We found your web site and the rest as they say is history.

Mike and I have been for three years running and feel that Fourpeaks is our home away from home. We love the way that nature surrounds you there. We look forward all year to hiking the property there and in three years not scratched the surface of all there is to discover. Mike and I both have made memories that will last a lifetime swimming and bathing in the river. We love taking your inner tubes and floating the mighty Ausable, on our lazy afternoons. Mike and I have a great relationship but the conversations we have that week are beyond description.

We have stayed at both Wolf's Nest, and just recently Ridge Camp. I can not say which is our favorite. The views from both and the seclusion they both offer make it hard to pick a winner. Mike and I bring a canoe to paddle and fish nearby ponds, and after three years we have our favorites. One for the fishing, one for the photo opportunities, and one to just lazily paddle, and maybe catch a nap!!

We have enjoyed getting to know you as well Martin. We truly count you as an old friend that we look forward to seeing every year and talk about you from time to time through the year. We enjoyed our dinner with you this year and have not stopped talking about it. Your cooking was second only to your company. Both Mike and I look forward to the next dinner we can share with you!!

I don't know how many Father and Son guests you have, But I can tell you I feel it is one of the best decisions I have ever made to redevelop our relationship. So much of our lives is spent being busy. Doing things and getting places on time. Fourpeaks gives us one week each year to realize what is really important. Both Mike and I take home with us a new respect for each other and the things that are happening in each others lives. We also have said it is our favorite week of the year. We both wish we could live year round at Fourpeaks.

We are hoping to return for a second trip this year in the fall. I am not sure if this will be possible, but if things work out we will be back home (Fourpeaks) again for a while. If we can not make it happen, rest assured you will be seeing Mike and I next July.

Martin I have told before, I know, but what you have chosen to do with the land you have been blessed with in the Adirondacks, is truly a gift to the rest of us! Thank you!
    Your old friends,
    Dean and Mike.
Ps: I hope you got the photos I mailed you. Just a taste of what Mike and I have expienced during our visits at Foupeaks!
