Your_Message: Once again we enjoyed our stay at Ridge Camp. We were glad to make it up this time in the fall. The foilage was unbelievable. Thursday Rob and Gordie went for a walk to Cookout Hill while Brenda and I set up camp and started dinner. We would of loved for dad (Richie) to see Cookout Hill, but with his age and bad knees, would of never made it. He stayed back and maintained the wood stove!! He made sure we stayed warm all weekend by keeping the fire going. We told him his Indian name would of been "keeper of fire."
Friday we got some rain, but, enjoyed talking and relaxing inside the camp. Saturday Brenda and I took a hike down to the Great Rock, along the Fisher Ridge Trail, along the west path to Rattlesnake knob. We then caught up to Blueberry, hiked Cookout Hill and then back to Ridge Camp. We enjoyed the different views of the area. Rob, myself, Richie, Gordie, and Brenda all went for a peaceful walk in the sun on Saturday afternoon together.
Rob and Gordie barbequed hamburgers outside that day after our walk. We all spend alot of time out by the view in the hammock and on the new picnic table. Once the sun went down, we all enjoyed playing games inside, while the wood stove kept us warm. Late Saturday night, we all dressed warm and went out star gazing at the picnic table. We all were amazed on how many stars you could see. It was incredible. We also enjoyed doing some baking at camp. We made homemade donuts, a carrot cake, and some buscuits. The carrot cake was for Gordies birthday !! We all enjoyed the time together.
I will send you some pictures soon. Take care and we will see you again.
